Maverick Pet Sculpture

Meet Maverick! This guy was a birthday gift for my sister-in-law, who is taking care of the most adorable dog. He's a big sweet lab-mix, and he even has a heart shaped mark on his side! I knew as soon as I saw him I had to make a sculpture of him. XD

I actually broke out the colored clay to make this guy, something I haven't done in ages! Though it's definitely much faster to work with colored clay, I still prefer painting my sculptures. Also, I forgot how horrible it is to work with white clay, it's almost impossible to keep it clean and fingerprint free. o_o

Maverick was made from Sculpey III polymer clay, and sealed with a gloss glaze. I forgot to measure him before I gave him away, but I believe he is around 2 or so inches tall.
