Alternate views of my Teemo sculpture. See the original post here:
A commission for of Teemo from the game League of Legends.
Gosh, I'm pretty darn happy with the way this guy came out! I learned so many new techniques and experimented with some new materials as well. He was quite a challenge, though! It was really the first time I had sculpted so many different kinds of details and textures, including more realistic looking clothing. But boy was he fun! I don't play League of Legends myself, but Teemo is so darn cute he really made me want to play! XD
Also want to give a shout out to my friend for the photo editing on this guy. He did an amazing job!
Teemo measures about 6in" tall including the base. He and his mushroom were sculpted from Super Sculpey/Sculpey Firm(with Apoxie sculpt used for reinforcement in a few places) over a wire and foil armature, painted with acrylic paint and sealed with Testor's Dullcote. The eyes, nose, goggles and telescope were glazed with Varathane's water-based Polyurethane. The base was stained and glazed, with model kit turf added for grass.
If you are interested in seeing how Teemo was made, I made a little step-by-step progression here:
